How I Raised My Credit Score

Last year I lost my job and my credit took a turn for the worse. When I finally landed a job a few months ago, I decided that I wanted to start rebuilding my credit. I spoke to a credit counselor and she advised me that I should look into Auto Loans. She explained that if I was to get a loan and pay it on time each month that this would drastically raise my credit score. I thought I would give it a try. She gave me the contact information for a few lenders that would be willing to finance a car for me. It has only been six months since I got my new car and my credit score has already went up 200 points.
