Once you are certain that you can request for an autopatch, you can immediately key in the provided access code followed by the telephone number that you are calling and then an asterisk. You can break into an existing conversation by using the term “break.” In most cases, you can hear the controller and the ringing of the phone that you are calling. Once your message is transmitted, you can speak normally but make your discussion as brief as you can. When hanging up, the controller has to be informed.
