what is a small business marketing consultant

I’ve been asked by people what a Small Business Marketing Consultant does.  Well, I guess we do the same things that regular marketing consultants do except out focus is on helping small business owners.  We help them develop promotional campaigns, fix up websites, and help with advertising and marketing in general.   Some are specialized and work only with clients in a certain part of the country and some only work on websites while others only do direct mail.  I have a friend who only does database marketing and to be honest, the focus of my company is on search engine optimization and social media visibility.
