Stuck in a Dead End Job

My job is the pits. I absolutely hate it as I am stuck in an entry level position and have been for four years. The only way I am ever going to move up is to try to find another job. I hesitate to do this as I have student loans that have to be paid. A pay cut would make my budget too tight so I’m staying put. I was talking to my girlfriend about this the other day and she suggested I look into Federal Loan Consolidation. She did this and they not only lowered her interest rate, they also extended her payment plan. Now her loans are paid off and she is much happier.
