Brands Aren’t As Good As They Used To Be

I’m never sure about a purchase even after I am using a product and one purchase that concerns me more than most is footwear. I need footwear that is sturdy and can take some abuse. Being waterproof is a must. I found out that there is a big difference between waterproof and water resistant. I also found out that sometimes there isn’t much of a difference between brand name and discount hiking boots. Buying a brand name is not a guarantee of quality. It seems to me that the extra cost for some brands is just paying to have the name on the product. Consumers get concerned about products that are manufactured in a certain developing nation and feel that all of the stuff coming from that country is basically junk. Take a look at where your beloved brands are being made. You may be surprised. Who knows, maybe my discount boots were made by the same folks that made your brand name boots. I just got more cash in my wallet, and still have a great pair of boots!
